Fabricworm, Here To Help! Fabric Face Mask Donations
Our Fabricworms are hard at work in the shop continuing to process daily orders and I am beyond
thankful to you all! As a fabric lover and owner I had an idea to help when news outlets expressed
the need for handmade cotton woven masks. We first came up with a *Fabric Face Mask Tutorial for
personal use, but I knew we could do more and we are here to help!

First we teamed up with two organizations to donate fabric to reach sewists ready to help during our
face mask shortage. It is my pledge to donate over 100 yards of cotton woven fabrics to make 1,500
masks for those currently in need. In our own county of San Luis Obispo, CA Ellie Kelley from
The Breast Vest is making face masks and organizing sewists locally who can help efforts in
Atascadero, Paso Robles, Templeton, Arroyo Grande, and Nipomo. Respiratory Therapists, Physical
Therapists, Housekeepers (who are vitally important), Phlebotomists, Cooks, Administration and
more will receive these masks at Twin Cities Hospital to start.

The largest area of need has been New York City and we also donated cotton fabrics to Marianna and
Adam of Wicked Finch Farm. They assist the Facebook group “Sew the Curve Flat” and are making
masks for NYC hospitals with requests.

While needs and requirements for handmade face masks will be based on your regions please note
we are just here to help if we can, by sewing for front line workers and donating fabric for others to
help sew masks, too. If you can contribute time to sew 100+ masks immediately or are already
working with a group or organization sewing masks and are in need of fabric please email us for
more information on how we can help.
