Charleston, a Sussex farmhouse at the foot of the South Downs in England, is testament to the shared vision of the Bloomsbury group, artists, writers, and philosophers in the firsr half of the twentieth century . Walls, doors, furniture, fireplaces. were canvases for the decorative works of Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and friends, exemplifying a love of simple pleasures and domestic beauty. Enthralled by a visit years ago, I have long cherished the idea of a collection rooted in such play of paint, pattern and colour. Create with joy!
