«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 502 Newer› Newest»Since it's summer my girls are at home. I've been busy helping them sew bags. My 12-year-old is making her first quilt! Definitely sewing a lot.
Yes, when it's warm, I sew less. We go to the beach then...
Lovely giveaway!
Thanks for the chance.
no heat here in germany, just cold...
I'm a newsletter follower already
Oooohhhh.. that's the fabric at the top of my wish list at the moment!
It's winter here in Australia, so I am getting more done than normal. :)
I feel tired lately. So I guess yes.
Absolutely! I can't even hold a needle, just a glass of iced lemmonade.

The summer in the UK is not really that hot but it means I can sew inside with all the windows & doors open which is lovely!
I follow your newsletter already x
well, its really always summer where i live and the heat's not so much a factor where my sewing is concerned. but i definitely haven't been sewing as much as i would like!

It's too hot to be outside so I'm keeping in the shade while the children play out and I can keep an eye on their antics through the window! It is wonderful!
thanks for a gorgeous fabric giveaway

The heat has not helped my sewing: I sew at nights and I return home so tired because of it!
I'm already in your mailing list. Beautiful fabric!
If only it was hot - at present we are in the depths of winter and it is quite cold (by tropical standards). All I want to do is curl up under a quilt not sew.
My friend pointed me at this by facebooking it (I have the most wonderful friends!). Lovely fabrics.
Not too hot here yet, so that's not affecting my sewing. The 15-week-old son, the house renovations and the 5-year-old coming up to end of term is doing all that!
geekhole@blueyonder.co.uk
The heat made me leave the my crochet stuff (it is too hot) and sew more. I already have great ideas for summer sewing. Thanks for the giveaway

Love the fabric !!
The heat makes me and the dogs head for the air con unit with ice blocks in, perfect for sewing :)
Mind being in the UK we don't get many hot days.
the heat is keeping me inside sewing. I love it.
It's winter right now in Oz, which makes it damned chilly quilting, so I put a heater in my workroom and draw the curtains to keep the heat in!
In summer, if it's crazy hot (ie. 45C) then I don't quilt, 'cos the quilting room is the hottest in the house.
Heat hasn't affected me yet! :)
The heat really hasn't affected my sewing too much as long as I stay under the A/C - and it was 106 degrees here yesterday. However, I do tend to do my machine sewing in the morning on the west side of the house and hand sewing in the afternoon on the east side of the house - anything to stay just that little bit cooler. Thanks for a great giveaway!

If anything, the summer heat has made me stay inside more, where sewing is a good thing to do. It has also made me think of swimsuits for the kids and cool dresses for me!
I posted to Facebook!
And I am already on the mailing list!!
That is SO CUTE!!!
Yes, the heat has actually increased my sewing time! My Studio space is downstairs where it is cool - so in the afternoon, my Siberian Huskies and I head down to sew and snooze!
KZK
We don't have an A/C unit in our bedroom so it has def. affected my sleeping but fortunately my sewing table is in the living room area with the A/C so I can sew to my hearts content without sweating away :)
I'd love an entry!
I love going down to the cool basement in the heat of the day to sew!
Thank god I have central air. It is too hot outside so I stay in and sew. Any excuse to sew, I even get my boys sewing too. They are 8 and 10.
Hmm, left a comment but not sure if my email address is visible. Instructtions a little confusing.

The heat has my son wanting to be outside which cuts into my sewing time.
I love this fabric bundle! The heat does affect my quilting, but usually doesn't bother me as far as sewing machine work. I live in Africa and have no A.C. :)
Oops, commented to fast and then realized I should answer the question! ha. The heat has made me a bit less inclined to do sewing that involves a lot of ironing, like quilting... especially since my sewing room already gets really hot, and I tend to forget to turn up the AC. But I still have been getting in a good amount of sewing time! Thanks for the chance to enter :)
No - but it affects the time of day I sew! Now I sew in the evening after I've put in a hard day laying by the pool :)
the heat makes me want to stay in and craft
It has yet to be really hot this summer, mostly we've had an unusual amount of rain. So, no, the heat has not been affecting my sewing.
We haven't run into much summer heat yet...when we do, I move to the basement and work on things that don't require great lighting!

The heat of summer always brings me back to sewing. I love knitting, sewing making and for some reason those hot summer months drive me straight to my sewing machine where I will happily spend hours just making…this week is the week I begin training pants…soon, I will have two baby blankets to make for expecting family members!

The heat no, I stay inside with the AC running :D But the storms have. We had two days ago and the power went out for about 10 hrs and I had planned to finish some quilting. Oh well I'll just have to do it tonight :)
Thanks for sharing some yummy fabrics :)
honestly, the heat sadly keeps me away from the hot sewing room, but I'm looking forward to the fall projects!

Yes, I haven't been sewing as much as I thought I would. Luckily, with the air on, I managed a bit last night.
Would love this collection! Yes, the heat here in North Texas has been horrible, way too hot to be outside. So yes I find myself in my sewing room lots more!

The heat is slowing my sewing because my sewing room has no AC BUT this collection is so cute I would gladly suffer to sew. =)
The heat? Nope. Vacations and other various summer activities? Yes! LOL!
Loooove the giveaway this month! *drool*

As usual, loves me the mailing list too! :D

The heat has effected my sewing just a bit - it's warm in the room where I sew but I have a fan and it helps!
I am sewing more because my studio is in my basement and it is so much cooler. :)

I am having no problems staying in the AC and sewing this summer. Since we are not taking a real vacation, I give myself permission to sew as much as I want to.
I think the heat (in NC) has given me a reason to do more exercise in swimming laps and kept me out of my quilting room.
What heat?
Love the fabric! Haven't had time to sew since school got out...but am hoping to buy a new sewing table soon. Maybe that will help!
Thanks!

No problem with the heat here! Actually my sewing room is on our lower level and I freeze most days! lol!

Actually, I feel inspired to sew, since it's cooler inside my house than outside!

I forgot to answer the actual question in my previous post- eek! So, YES, the heat has majorly affected my sewing, as in, I am sewing up a sew-storm lately because it is too darn hot and humid outside most of the time. In the last month I've made my six year old daughter 5 new dresses and I'm starting on reuseable tote bags to make for Christmas presents. (!)
Yes! Unfortunately the heat has affected my sewing. My kids are constantly bugging me to go to the pool, so that is where we head on a pretty regular basis which doesn't allow for much sewing time during the day!

Not the heat but the seasonal allergies :( I even suspect fabrics and am staying away from them for a while... So sad.
Thanks for the chance to win, once I figure out what's causing my allergies, hopefully nothing related to my sewing passion, I will be back full force at my sewing corner.

So far I haven't been able to do much sewing with the little guy out of school and taking them outside everyday. How do you sew without sticking the kids infront of the tv anyway? (or do you? lol)

I tend to sew in shorter bursts with more breaks due to the heat (no AC).
I get the newsletter.
We've been having VERY hot weather here. In theory, that should increase sewing opportunities since all I want to do is hide indoors, but in reality, it just sucks all the lifeblood out of me. I'm not getting much of anything done these days! I am CRAVING some new fabric and sewing inspiration!
I'm on your mailing list.
No way! The only time I sew is in the evenings in my basement and it's freezing down here. I love it!

Another beautiful giveaway!
Over here in germany it hat also been very hot in May and parts of june. For me that means a little less sewing unfortunately - all the fabric and the heat from the machine gets too much for me...
No disruptions from sewing here. The only difference is that i only do blocks and piecing. The actual quilting will have to wait until fall or winter when its either cold or wet.

I don't sew as much when it is this hot outside because my sewing area is upstairs in my bedroom and the hot air rises so my room is always hot. I hate being hot so I am not upstairs much when it is hot.

I'm not doing any hand-sewing because that would be too hot in my lap, at least for quilts and the like.

What a sweet collection! And yes, the heat is good for my sewing/quilting productivity!! I don't "do" outdoors in summer, so I have more time to get stuff done :-)
The heat doesn't affect my sewing, but the longer days do. I love having natural light to sew by, so I spend more time in my sewing room in summer than in winter. I also get more hand work done sitting by the pool while my kids splash away or on my porch with a cup of iced tea or lemonade.
Heat seldom has a negative affect on me. That is a great fabric collection.
I receive your newsletter.
The temperature certainly affects my sewing. In the summer time I like to do piecing and avoid having a hot quilt on my lap. During the cooler months, I'll do the actual quilting.
Cute fabric! In all this heat, I have been sewing more than ever before this summer! I have made purses, pillows and my first ever quilt blocks!

Yes! I'm moving a little slower but I'm still trying. I don't like summer, never have and this week temps are really bad.
The heat just makes me want to stay inside and sew with the airconditioner on! I'd love to win this darling fabric. We just had 2 granddaughters born 7 weeks apart and after having 4 grandsons, it's going to be so much fun to start buying all the cute girl fabrics out there!
I'm already one of your happy newsletter followers!

The heat is negatively impacting my sewing as my house doesn't have central air. My cozy little sewing nook is just BOILING, so I have to wait until I can plug in a fan and until the kids are down for the night to even get moving. Thanks for the chance to win!

I am a hand quilter, so the heat definitely did affect my quilting until we bought a new a/c. Now I can quilt again. Of course, I am only working on small projects at the time. Big quilts in my lap still get too hot. I have been doing a lot of piecing, getting ready for winter. Lovely bundle of fabrics.
I just signed up for your newsletter.
It's a mix. If it's TOO hot, I stay inside and work, but if the heat is JUST right, then I'm outside.

Thanks for the giveaway. Summer and yards of batting don't mix but I'v found more time to sew. I have recently tried my had at kids pants and they've really been great so far.
I still sew hot or not , maybe more handsewing than machine .

The heat has slowed down some of my runs to the fabric store...so has having my toddler home full time. Projects are slow, but steady!
I am new to sewing this summer. The heat has made me select a new indoor hobby. This was my first visit to the fabricworm site and I'm totally in love!!

Oh course it has. When it is so nice out I have to spend time outside and my sewing gets somewhat neglected. Thanks for a great giveaway.
My sewing room is on the sunny side of the house and when the sun gets around to there it gets too warm, so I start sewing early morning til midafternoon and all goes well.
Love, love, love those fabrics, fabulous giveaway.
It's winter in Australia and the best time to sew. In summer we have the air conditioner on 23 all day just to get some sewing done.

Thank goodness for air conditioning here in the deep south. My sewing hasn't been affected at all. Before we had central air, I would just lay around trying to stay cool.
I haven't been sewing. It's so cool in the morning that's when I get all of my housework done, and all afternoon it's too hot in the house and I'm too frugal to run the a/c. Sigh.

The heat, plus a new baby who is permanently in my arms, are definitely affecting my productivity!
The heat in Florida is awful this time of year-lots of humidity. I am doing more cross stitching for my group, World of Charity Stitching and more sewing than I usually do in cooler weather.
