Fabricworm is celebrating our 2 Year Anniversary with a Giveaway of Cosmo Cricket Early Bird! Pardon Diatribe
Hi Friends and Family,
Fabricworm has just celebrated our 2 year anniversary! It's been a long road to get here. But we've managed and business is better than ever.
Thanks to our loyal fans and following, we've managed to accomplish a lot in these 2 short years. This year we saw the launch of our very own fabric line, a 100% organic line of quilting cottons under our Birch Fabrics label, Circa 50 designed by Jennifer Moore of Monaluna This was a huge accomplishment for so many reasons.
When I started Fabricworm, the first question out of my mouth with every new Fabric Rep that I met was, "Are they offering any printed organic cottons"? Again and again, I got the exact same response. I was so frustrated. It seemed that the manufacturers just haven't been able to understand not only the demand, but more importantly the impact that offering organic cottons could have on our eco system. With roughly 25% of all pesticides used in agriculture, being used on cotton fields, it seems logical that a shift is clearly needed in how we grow our cotton. Or else? I don't know about everyone else, but I'd like my future grandchildren to meet their future grandchildren. At the rate we are chemically poisoning our agriculture, it's not clear as to whether or not that is possible.
I encourage everyone to contact their favorite quilting cotton manufacturers, and tell them that you want to see more organic options! Surely if they existed, we at Fabricworm would buy them!
What's on the horizon for Fabricworm?
This November/December we will see the launch of two new collections, "Marine" by Dan Stiles
and Circa 60 Beach Mod, a follow up to Circa 50 by Jennifer Moore of Monaluna
So, Thanks for listening, enough babble.
For the giveaway we are offering the complete collection of Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket in fat quarters, 12 in total.
But we need your help! We are going to be working on a redesign of the website so to enter, please tell us how we can make Fabricworm a more enjoyable shopping experience. What would you like to see in our store? What do you wish we would change about our site? Whatever comes to mind, your input if so important to us!
Please only 1 entry per person.
The Random Generator will choose a winner on Monday June 28th @ 9am PST. So please have your entry in by then.
Thank You and Good Luck!
***UPDATE****
Thank you for all the amazing suggestions! I'm really enjoying reading every one of them. If you by chance are reading we've already made a few updates:
1. We've now made it so that you can see that a fabric is out of stock before clicking on it.
2. We have a "view all" section for the fabrics, this actually already existed, but for those that didn't notice it.
3. Some of you requested full yard sets, and I just wanted to note that all of the sets are available as 1/2 yards, full yards, 1.5 yards, or even 2 yards as long as we have enough stock on hand. You just enter based on a 1/2 yard. For instance if you want a full yard of each print, you would enter 2 in the quantity box.:)
4. Some of you have probably already noticed this, but we have added a section for Fat Quarters, so that's sorta' new.
5. We unfortunately have a really hard time with the measurement issue, because we use stock photos from the manufacturers and they often don't have a measuring tape, and because they don't use a set size for each picture, to put a ruler with the photo would mean editing of every single fabric, I'm afraid we haven't been able to find the time to do this, but maybe in the future we will find a way.
6. Oh and we now made it so that the pattern section is "view all". So no more multiple pages to click through.
7. I know there is something else, but I can't think of it. Maybe I will remember later. Thanks and keep on posting!
Aw I remember, lots of new solids are on the way, including Robert Kaufman Kona Solids and Organic Solids

Keep up the awesome work!
What I would love to see is a 'view all' of a collection where I could put in how many yards per fabric and then hit a single button on the bottom to select all the fabrics I wanted. You do a GREAT job and you can just sign me up for notification for the 'Marine' set of fabrics in November!!!
I love perusing the wares on Fabricworm.com -- the only problem I ever had was that it was difficult to know when something was out of stock. So I'm thrilled that you asked for feedback and acted on it! Fabricworm is the best! :D
Firstly I want to say that I really, really love Fabricworm. I am very happy with all of the fabric I have received from you and I just love the fabrics you carry; they are amazing! I also very much appreciate your commitment to the environment with your push for organic cotton. Shopping on your website has been a real pleasure. You have already made a change to remedy the problem that I had noticed (being able to see that a fabric is unavailable before clicking on it). So, the only other thing I can think of is perhaps you would consider also adding an image from each collection to the 'search by collection page'.
Happy anniversary!
And, my oh my, I would LOVE to win that FQ stack! :)
As far as the site goes, ummm...... more solids knits :D
What do I want...mmmmm......I like to buy bundles of fabric as sometimes you cant work out the combos yourself off of pictures...so more of your bundles would be good.
I agree with someone elses comment of adding in some coordinating solids to your fabulous stacks!
thanks for the GREAT customer service!
I would prefer a shopping cart where you can see all the thumbnails at once instead of scrolling. I like to see how the fabrics go together. Is there an option for a second window or a way to expand the window of the current shopping cart.

Someone may have already mentioned this, but often I'll click on a selection and it's sold out. Is there a way to remove the sold out item from selection, or have it grayed out, perhaps?
As much I love shopping online, shopping in person has always been safer because I can match colors with different fabrics. Perhaps if there was a platform on your website where the fabrics can be placed to see how they look together. (I might be going too far with this :)
Overall, I love fabricworm - Most of the time I don't even know what I'm looking for - but whatever it turns out to be, you guys always have it :)
I wonder whether bamboo fabric might be another possibility?
Your website is one of my absolute favourites!
It's the same number of clicks with a mouse but it would just be a bit easier to have another option.
Also, a design wall would be a neat feature--I know fabric.com has one that works really well and I've often wished your site had something similar since you stock more fun fabric .
I absolutely love your site. You are always the first one I go to when looking for fun funky fabric! The only thing that I would change is the "out of stock" issue and it's been solved already :)
Looking forward to your new Birch Fabric line too!
best
Edwina
I love the fresh, clean look of your website and visit often.
Congrats on 2 years!!
I would love to see (and love to see that has been fixed!) if a fabric is out of stock before I try ordering it.
I'd also love to see some plain linens to coordinate with your beautiful fabrics, as I do find these very difficult to source.
It would also be great to see some luscious, thick organic wool felts in modern colourways.
But all in all I love your beautiful, crisp design of your shop, and can't wait to see the see it evolve even more.
Thank you!
I find it really hard to locate what I want when I use the "Fabric by collection" page.
Maybe make the name of each collection in a different colour - or sort by collection name...
Thanks for the chance to win.
Love your shop. Small suggestion, though, to put a coin next to the fabric photo, so one can measure the size of the print.
Thank you for the giveaway!!
I'd love to see some more printed corduroy fabric (it's always winter somewhere!)
Love your shop!
Love your new fabrics!
Love this giveaway!
Love your shop... thanks for the chance to win!
Your site is quite intuitive and the fabrics? Perfection. Congrats!
Happy Anniversary!!

I love your Fabricsite!!So wen I look vor a color, then I have a problem..wen you can assort the fabrics in colors too? (I'm sorry, my english is not good)
So, all the Best for the next year's!! Rita
I would like to be able to view the fabrics by colour and also have a place where you could see the swatches of selected fabrics against each other.
Happy Birthday and keep up the great work, one day I hope to visit you in person but until then virtual visits shall suffice.
And larger photos of the fabric or a way to enlarge to see more would be nice.
