Matching Indian Summer Quilt Pillow by Angela from Little Quills!
Hi there! I'm Angela from Little Quills Clothing and I made a super fun and basic pillow to pair with the beautiful Indian Summer Quilt. My favorite thing about the quilt is the amount of negative space that really makes the colors pop and I wanted to carry that over into the pillow.

You will need the following Birch Fabric Solids:
1/8 yard: Periwinkle, Timber, Peachy, and Slate
1/4 yard: Cream
1/2 yard: Petal
Fiber fill
Cut 4"x4" squares
10 cream
1 petal
1 slate
1 periwinkle
1 peachy
Cut one 13x13" square of petal for the backing.
Pair together:
Two cream squares x4
Timber with cream x2
Peachy with cream
Periwinkle with cream
Slate with cream
Petal with cream
Similar to the Indian Summer Quilt, draw a diagonal line.
If you're like me and you need a guideline so you don't sew wonky, draw a line 1/4" from each side of the diagonal line.
Cut the square on the diagonal line then sew the triangles together on the remaining lines (or just 1/4" from the edge).
Press the seams and trim the dog ears. The remaining squares will be 3.5".
Sew squares of each row together, then sew rows together.
The finished top will be 13x13.
Place your finished top and backing piece right sides together and pin in place. Sew around the edges leaving a two inch opening at the bottom of the pillow. Clip the corners. Turn right sides out, fill with fiber fill, and hand stitch the opening.
