'Sew A Modern Home' | Blog Tour

Hey Fabricworms!

We are really honored to share a very special project with you today, from a very special and dear friend.

Melissa Lunden is the talented lady behind Lunden Designs.  We've been lucky enough to work with Melissa on countless quilts, and offered almost all of her patterns as quilt kits in our shop.  When we met Melissa, she was a new mom would come into our shop in Paso Robles for design meetings.  You can almost always count on one of Melissa's quilts hanging in our shop window display.  Before we knew it, Melissa was on the road to beginning her very own pattern company, and we were thrilled to see her talents blossoming.   That's why we're so proud to share her latest accomplishment with you, Sew A Modern Home.

Sew A Modern Home, is Melissa's very first book, and is filled to the brim with inspiring quilt projects for every room of the house.  From the nursery to the kitchen table, she's got you covered.  And the designs within this striking book are just the sort of elegance and classic simplicity that really makes for a beautiful home.

I think the Desert Morning Quilt has got to be one of my personal favorite quilts in the book.  I LOVE the shapes, and I LOVE the color palette.  I want this exact quilt on my bed right now, I'm not even kidding.

One really cool feature of the book, is that it is separated into projects by the room.  So you'll find projects for the kitchen runner like the one below.

Or a project for a girl's room like this one:

And for a boys room too:

There a so many other fantastic projects in this book.  Be sure to grab your self a copy.  Or enter the rafflecopter widget below to win yourself a digital copy of Sew A Modern Home.

The girl's room quilt. Love the simplicity and versatility of the pattern. I would make it in pink because I love the look, then I would probably make a couple more using yellow and purple as the basic color.

The tile of the book caught my eye and I'm intrigued by some of the projects for our soon to be renovated home. I love the simple lines of Modern Quilts along with the nod to tradition.
