Sewing is definitely a stress reliever for me - my job doesn't really make me feel like I accomplish anything (lots of paper-pushing!) so being able to create tangible objects is definitely a plus!!

Thanks for the chance to win!

As a mom of 4 little ones (ages 5, 3-year-old TWINS, and 1), sewing is VERY much a stress-relieving creative outlet for me. With all the tasks that are very soon "un-done" as a homemaker, it's so rewarding to begin a sewing project, enjoy the process, and have a finished piece at the end that can't be "un-done" :)

Sewing makes me happy because it makes me feel productive. Being a stay-at-home mom of two toddlers, whatever I sew (or knit/crochet) is the only thing that stays done in my house. At the end of a day full of cleaning, cooking, and playing, I have nothing concrete to show for my time except for what I manage to create.

For me sewing is a great stress reliever. Not much beats working away the morning in your sewing room with a warm cuppa at your side. :)

Sewing to me is one of those things that is my daily therapy. Something is dreadfully wrong with my day if I don't get any sewing in. Even if it's only 20-30 minutes...I can get lots of things done in that amount of time...cut strips, plan a block, piece a strippy mug rug...you get the idea!

Sewing is needful for me!

I'm a quilter and it makes me happy because it combines a desire to be artistic with an opportunity to be generous. I create something, a process that makes me happy, and give it to someone else, which makes them happy. I often wonder if my grandmother felt the same way--in a very practical life, being creative was okay because it was useful and beneficial.

Thanks for the giveaway.

Quilting, though I'm new at it, is my therapy after going through a pretty awful and continuing health scare. I love the distraction it provides ... I really need to concentrate on it ... and it gives me endless images to dream about. And, most importantly, I feel I'm leaving a legacy for my family and friends ... just in case ...

Sewing is a satisfyingly tactile experience. My hands can get right in there and I can create things internally, verbally, but have have them manifest physically before my eyes. I never use patterns, rather have a rough idea and allow my method and execution to change and I go. It's a chance to allow the material to let me know what it wants to do and I facilitate. It feels mutually beneficial.

Plus I get bragging rights... when someone comments on one of my creations, I can proudly and geekily respond with the words, "Thanks. I made it!"
