Also, I am already an email subscriber. Thanks for the chance to win!

I've done both but don't have the patience to work with all mistakes when I don't use a pattern.

I like to use patterns, but sometimes they confuse me, so I then make some up as I go. So it's a little of both.

I occasionally see a design that I want to replicate some day, but I pretty much always end up creating my own designs for a quilt.

For clothes, on the other hand, I'm too scare to approach that without a pattern!

Love these colors!

I rarely use patterns, just like to design with trial & error :)

oh, and I already (happily!) receive the mailing list :)

I like to make up my own patterns or use an existing pattern and modify it with a fresh twist!

I'm a bit of both girl. I like patterns to help work out yardage and to get the basics but then I also like to change things to suit. I love these fabrics and would love to win them.

I already subscribe.

Thanks

I like to get inspiration from looking at patterns, but I usually just go with my own thing. Thanks for the giveaway.

I do both. Others have better ideas than I do most of the time but I try to experiment on my own.

I do either, but actually I love step by step tutorials with photos most!

I do a mix! I like to use patterns for things I'm not sure about but most things (especially simple stuff meant to show off the fabric) I make up as I go along :)

What pretty colors! Thank you for offering this giveaway.

Lindsay Conner said...

I like using patterns to give me an idea of where I'm going, but I also like to adapt them to my project. :)

I'm a novice sewist and so far have hardly used patterns at all. I mostly sew small things like bags or clothes for my children and so far have found that following "patternless" tutorials has taught me a lot without scary jargon or complication. I can think of many patternless projects for which I can use this fabric. :-) The colours are gorgeous.

And I just tweeted this giveaway!

I like to let the pattern grow organically if possible.

Angela D. said...

Thanks for the giveaway! I use patterns every so often, but usually I just wing it.

Marci Girl said...

Oh yes, I always use patterns, either other people's or my own design!

Beth said...

i love these solids - beautiful!
sometimes i wing it and other times i use a pattern but make it my own with little (or big) changes.

a.schmied said...

I generally follow patterns but am willing to make some changes along the way if I'm feeling inspired! I let my creativity run free.

Bethany said...

As a novice I prefer patterns .

I used to wing it but these days I mostly use a pattern (I think I lost my nerve!)

twelfthzodiac said...

I haven't used a pattern yet! So far I like to just sketch out what I want to do & go from there.
I will give patterns a try sometime, there are some great ones out there!

Melinda said...

Would love some solids. I'm in print overload!
