«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 452 Newer› Newest»I wing it as I go! Thanks for the giveaway. Hope I'm lucky. :)
I love to adapt patterns to fit my project!
I signed up for the newsletter. Can't wait to hear more.
I have made up my last two quilts as I go. It was very satisfying to do that.
I'm on your mailing list and love to shop with you!
ugh, im a pattern girl...wish it were different, but i feel so much safer with a pattern for guideance
Just made my first ever Tweet! Love to quilt as I go. Very liberating.
Gorgeous colors!
I generally use patterns or draft up my own patterns and just make up the rest on te go!
Love those solids!! I tend to take off on my own from patterns I have seen.
lovely colours would look great in my fabric stash!
I like to use existing patterns. Too much thinking makes my head explode. ;-)
I almost always make up my own quilt patterns, and I use patterns for clothing!
I'm already signed up, great fabric!
I signed up for the newsletter :)
I would love to be able to say I make things up on my own but, nope, I am definitely a pattern person.
This is a great thing to see being given away. I NEED solids so badly and yet I never buy them.
I am an email subscriber already.
I love patterns, but very often I don't have patience enough to use them and I invent my own.
I tweeted and I'm http://twitter.com/#!/Nahuatl
I usually start with a pattern, but almost always end up adjusting or enhancing it in some way.
I just post it on facebook http://www.facebook.com/search.php?q=nahuatl%20vargas&init=quick&tas=0.7506947864553078&ref=ts#!/profile.php?id=699762665
Do a bit of both, particularly if things are not working out very well.
Beautiful colours and beautiful solids.

I need a pattern. I don't have much imagination (or math skills!)
I am already a follower...or stalker would be more correct

I usually use a pattern. I haven't tried to make blocks without a pattern yet.
I joined the mailing list.
I subscribe to your newsletter!
I do both patterns and winging it. depends on the fabric and what I'm looking to do with it!
I love to start with a pattern then tweak it to meet my need, what I really need is some solid colors fabrics i'm starting to realize I don't have any basics!!!

most of the time i'm a pattern girl.
i subscribe to your newsletter
I like to loosely follow patterns. :)
I love making up my own patterns but if I find the right one I love to use someone else's as inspiration. I love the Just Wing It line!
Fresh, vibrant colors. Lovely for any quilt pattern.
Normally i use patterns, but recently I have been trying to design my own quilts or design it as i sew.
LOVE these fabrics!
I just love solids!! I start off using a pattern and sometimes change it in some way.
Yay! Thanks for the giveaway!
Of course I have to be difficult with my answer, I love doing both. In fact, I often "wing" changes even while I'm using a pattern. Perhaps it's an issue with following rules?!
*My word verification for leaving my comment here today is zardle. I had to share it because I think zardle should be a real word don't you?
I generally use other people's patterns, although I've 'made up' one or two of my own to good effect!
Those solids look lovely!
I subscribe to your newsletter
I nearly always prefer to use patterns. Thank you for this give away!
I definitely need a pattern! Love those solids - thanks for the chance!
I like to take inspiration from an existing block or pattern, then modify it to suit me. Beautiful bundle! Plz enter me into your draw.
I receive your e-newsletter.
I love sampler quilts, so I use a pattern for the blocks, but then put them together however works! So I guess, both is my answer! :)
Sandy A
I usually prefer to make it up, but I'm learning that patterns can be fun too.

come by and take a peek.
I prefer to use patterns...even if I could probably do without one, I suppose it's my little life raft. :-)
I already receive the newsletter!
I like to do both. Sometimes a pattern perfect and other times I just wing it. Thanks for the giveaway!
I subscribe too!
My stash is devoid of solids. This would be a great addition! I like to use patterns as a launching pad. They give me inspiration as does your blog! Thanks!
I'm a follower on Reader and get your e-mail newsletter!
Those fabrics are just so pretty. I usually use patterns, but do a bit of my own designs when applique-ing.
I am receiving your newsletter, too. :)
I can happily follow a pattern but have also made my own patterns & also quilted in an improv style, it changes form project to project. These fabrics are beautiful, thanks for the giveaway.
I love these colors! And I usually do my own thing when it comes to patterns, or I will modify a pattern for my specific purpose.
I like to mix and match different fabric.
I have subscribed to your newletter few weeks back.
As a newbie sewer, it's patterns all the way!
I have shared in facebook - \joeywong13
I love these beautiful fabrics. Thanks for this opportunity!
I prefer to just wing it, I don't like rules.
For quilts, I like to figure things out on my own, although for a more complicated quilt I would definitely need a pattern.
Im a pattern person. Im not creative enough to make it up as I go!
Bit of both-usually start with the pattern as a basis, then wing it as I go on.
Those solids are great! I use patterns for apparel, but make it up as I go with other stuff!
I usually do my own pattern.
Unless it's a really simple bag or quilt, I'm a pattern girl, but I'm getting confident enough lately to make alterations lately!
beautiful fabric and colours! I usually prefer following patterns. Even if I think of something I usually make a pattern for myself, first ... :-P
I love both, I use a pattern the first time I do a new technique then once ive got a handle on the process im designing away on my own designs.
Kim Dart
I once did the "wing it" approach and loved the result....but it made me very nervous! I'm very much a pattern/rules kind of sewer. Those fabrics would fit right in a rainbow quilt I want to make, hint hint! If I win, I can be contacted at: vicenza74 at g mail dot com Thanks for the chance!
I love both, following patterns and designing my own ones. Thanks so much!
I'm very new to this, so I like to use patterns but hope to evolve to making up my own one day.
I prefer patterns. I like being told what to do but I can change things if I want. If I make the pattern it's time out of my busy sewing schedule! I'd rather be sewing! And I ADORE this MOMO line!!!!
I facebooked it!

I'm on the mailing list! Thank you!!!
I've only sewn a handful of things so I definitely prefer patterns/instructions right now.
Love the colors!
Always use a pattern - but I usually design it myself.
I'm making bunting for my wedding these colours are just perfect!
I follow patterns but am happy to 'tweek' them. I have few 'artistic' skills being a scientist, i follow instructions well so will stick with patterns. fingers totally crossed.
Stunning colours! Though I can never bring myself to buy just plains. The patterns, they just call to me...
These are so pretty I would love to win them!!
Definitely have to use patterns. I'd love to win the beautiful fabric.
I'm on your email newsletter list.
I would just die to have these solids...SO I tweeted @littlecreatable
I FBed @Brie Henri
AND I already subscribe WHOO me.
I usually make my own pattern before I start and rarely follow a published pattern...thanks for the giveaway!
I'm a combination of both patterns and free form. It depends on the fabric. What beautiful fabrics you have too!
So pretty and so versatile!
I'm a bit of a hybrid sewer - I start with a pattern as a base usually somewhere along the line I go off the rails and start winging it. Usually it works out . . . other times not so much.
I'm a bit of both. I love to make it up as I go when crafting but for clothes, I'll use a pattern as a base. I would usually add an individual touch though, I never follow a pattern to the letter.
I go through phases. Currently, I am in a using patterns phase.
I included your giveaway in my blog today:
http://straystitches1.blogspot.com/2011/04/flowers-everywhere.html
I like patterns as im new at this but i love that you can out your own creativity into it as well. Thanks for the give away how cool is this yay
I use patterns but also enjoy making mine own. The colors of the fabric are great!
I get ideas from patterns, but do my own thing.
I'm on the mailing list. Thanks for a chance to win!
I love my own patterns and creations, but also love what others create....so I guess I use both...Love my pillowcase and quick easy quilt patterns and could sure use this beautiful fabric there..!
I need to use a pattern unless it's VERY basic. :)

I do both. I often start with a pattern and go from there. I'm just starting to do improv type quilts!

gorgeous colours - thanks for the opportunity.....
I always use a pattern for clothing, but for quilts and "fit optional" projects I like to wing it.
it depends on what I'm making. lately I haven't had a lot of time so I use patterns--let someone else do the hard work for me.
I love to make my own patterns. =)

Thanks for the chance to win this gorgeous fabric. I just joined the mailing list.
I have bought lots of patterns but am finding I prefer to wing it nowadays!
I do both -- sometimes I follow the pattern and sometimes I just wing it and do my own thing!
I love the solids!!
I signed up for your email list!
I subscribe and look forward to receiving your newsletter!
I usually start with an idea and go from there, but sometimes it's a pattern I start with. I have to force myself if I'm doing a pattern for a reason not to change it up a bit. Would love to see these solid stripes...at my house, of course!
I like to use a pattern for the "idea." I then alter it to my liking. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.
I love all of these mostly-solids. I always seem to start with a pattern and then modify it a bit.
I like to use patterns but usually tweek them depending on the size quilt I'm making. Love the solids!
I like the idea of patterns but I usually just end up making it up as I go. I was JUST thinking that I need some solids in my fabric stash!
YUMMY!! When sewing, I like to make my own patterns. My brain just works better that way. It's more fun, too! bcharmerdesigns@yahoo.com
oh so pretty!
Am I too late? I like to use patterns. I'm not that original just yet with design. I'm an engineer so I like to follow patterns to a tee! ;-)
I'm definitely an improviser, but I do like to survey existing patterns for inspiration...
I love to make as I go. Although I've followed a pattern a few times. xo
Already subscribed to your newsletter, tks fr the chance.
I usually start with a pattern or a tutorial - then I make changes, usually because I goof something up!
I subscribe to your newsletter.
I would prefer to use my own one or existing one to avoid mistakes and wasting cloth.
I had joined the mailing list!
I like to follow tutorials!
I've tried to be adventurous and wing it, but since I'm relatively new to sewing/quilting my own creations are often flops. The patterns almost always turn out right! So I guess both for me...for now...
I love the figuring out how to make something on my own - it's part of the fun. My brain must not function the same way as people who draw out pattern instructions because I have a hard time understanding them.
I know just what I would do with those fabrics! It's an idea I've had in my head for a while...
I'm on the mailing list!
Beautiful colors! Thanks for having a giveaway!

Lovely solids! Thanks for a chance to win.
I do both. If I love a pattern, I will use it as is. Other times I do my own thing.
I tweeted! Thanks for the chance to win these great solids.
I prefer to start cutting....
I don't quilt often. Everything else is something that I envision in my head and hope it works out the way I see it!

I like getting a pattern ... and then ending up totally ignoring it LOL!

I do both though probably more from patterns. Lot of time I start with a pattern and veer off a bit

I should use patterns, but I tend to make it up as I go... with about a 50% chance of ending up with a good end result, haha!
Perfect colors! I prefer to use a pattern as a guide, and do what I want after I understand the process. I don't like store bought patterns because I don't understand the lingo. Etsy patterns are perfect because a fellow human being wrote them :)
I like basic patterns but then choosing the fabrics to interpret it is what really makes it your own.
I prefer a pattern, wish I was as creative as so many of the sewers out there. Love these colors,
I like making it up as I go. Beautiful giveaway!
I am on your mailing list!
I usually don't use a pattern though I often go to a book to learn a new technique. For example, I like the liberated quiltmaking of Gwen Marston, so I've tried most of her techniques. Nevertheless, I do love all the tutorials I find on blogs.
I've just made my first all solids quilt-I'd love to work with solids again. Thanks very much. (but I don't tweet, and rarely post on fb, unfortunately).
I love patterns, they inspire me, but I rarely follow them exactly. I always find a little something to tweak...(or I screw up and have to improvise!)
I use patterns but on occasion I will venture out on my own. Results are not always good if I do my own. lOL

definitely patterns for clothes but I try to be creative in quilting!

I've made several quilts and have only followed one pattern but it did make it so much easier! Funny my first one wasn't a pattern at all and it was twin sized. Either way it's always enjoyable.
I'm a subscriber too! Love the fabric and the blog :)
I like doing both actually! Beautiful colors!
Since I am still learning so I prefer to use a pattern and pretty much need to. These colors are great.
sassysarahl@hotmail.com
Lovely colours! So many uses.
I like to use patterns, my favorite part of the quilt is the planning.
I like to make my own patterns, but for more complicated clothing it's nice to just rely on the pattern and worry about sewing only.
I use patterns! :D
I'm on your mailing list!
Oooh, those colors are so PRETTY. Perfect for spring! In terms of using patterns or not, I do a little of both. I use existing patterns for more complex things, like shirts and purses with lots of pockets and other features (though I often make minor modifications to the patterns to suit my needs). For simpler stuff, I tend to wing it, now that I'm more experienced as a sewer. I recently made my first pattern-free skirt and I love it. It fits me better than any pattern I've ever made, and it's exactly what I wanted, to boot! I like web tutorials for this -- things that give me the basic steps, but leave most of the measuring and drafting up to me.
