#1 never wins - does it? Oh well - CONGRATULATIONS!!! How exciting - they all look amazing. I love the tree stripes - so cute but they are all fantastic!
Ok now to answer your question - I think British Mod sounds fun - can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Congratulations to you! Your line is awesome. (I LOVE the space one!)

I think I lean a bit more towards the Freedom Loving Vibe, but either/or sounds awesome.

WOW! It's amazing!!! And what an amazingly super generous give away!! For me British Mod sounds super fun... Love that idea.

I think the prints are gorgeous. I love the colors, and the retro feel. When I think of the 60's I think "Gin and the Rat Pack" so I suppose that falls more into the British Modern Category.
You really have done a fabulous job. You should be proud, not nervous.
Audrie said…
Congrats!!! The line is amazing! Love it all :)

I think I'd like the Sixties Brit Mod idea just because Freedom Loving makes me think of psychedelic colours lol
April said…
I love these! Especially the cars and the space one. :) Either sounds great for the next line... but I think I am feeling the Freedom Loving Vibe. Congrats!

WAY 2 GO! These are great!! You have no need to be worried, just super pumped! British mod sounds like the right tree to be barking up, to me.

Love these!

Ok, when I think of the 60s, I think about Woodstock and the Beatles. How about some funky retro birds (kinda like what you see in the Woodstock logo), some John Lennon style glasses, or some little guitars?
Unknown said…
I love the prints, I love the color schemes and the design on all of them. I love the old feel to them, but also very modernized. I don't think much of the sixties, because I wasn't around. I think the Freedom Loving.
Rossie said…
Cool fabric!

Well, I think all the British Mod stuff that I like is actually 50s stuff. What about scandi design from the 60s? Might take some research to get enough of a feel for, but I love that stuff!

oh my! I clicked into your page while on the phone, and about fell off my chair with the cuteness of your fabrics. I LOVE them. I couldn't get off the phone fast enough to find out where I can buy. I can't wait for them to come out. I would be super happy to win, but if I don't I will be stalking the fabric store. : ) Great Job!

I love your new fabric and the Multi cars are my favorite! The colors are just perfect.

I'm not a huge fan of freedom lovey vibes prints but I think British Mod sounds fantastic. I can think of a million things I could make with that... get crackin' ;).

STUNNING! I LOVE all those fabrics!

British mod sounds awesome, and hasn't been overdone. (As someone who was a teenager during the 60's fashion revival in the late 90's I'm done with the whole flower power thing.)
Stephanie said…
I love those pebbles! They are all awesome and British Mod is right up my alley!!! Congrats on your new line and thanks for sharing it with us in this great giveaway!!!
DianeY said…
Considering I was in High school & college during the 60s,, I remember everything being the Beatles & the Stones & Twiggy-so British Mod fits pretty well!
But, then again, I was in Calif, so there was a lot of the Beatnik & Flower Child influence, too! So you could really go either way! (big help-I know)
You nailed the 50s though, so no doubt the 60s will be great, too! Keep up the good work!
Lyndsay said…
Oh hello! I love the mid-century stuff you've come up with in this fabric line--congratulations! As for the 60s...I'm all about the British Mod. I'm picturing scooters, stripes, polka dots, the blue/red target, super cute hats, funky luggage, go-go boots...

Hope this list helps you make a decision! Thanks for the chance to win the fabric.

Woah. Gorgeous fabric. As I was scrolling down, I thought, "That one is my favorite. Oh, wait! That one. Wait! That one is the cutest!"

When I think about the 1960s, I think very mod, British invasion. Like the iconic video of the Beatles playing on the Ed Sullivan show.
Wendy said…
Congratulations - just beautiful (love, love, love the color combinations!!!!).

Re: the 60's...I think of rock and roll, the Beatles, the summer of love, San Francisco. I can't wait to see what you develop!

I love the whole line, especially tree stripes and pebble lines. and the colors. I like British Mod--sounds like lots of fun. I'm thinking Twiggy, Carnaby hats, and go-go boots. (I think I just dated myself....)

Oh my gosh that fabric is FABULOUS! When I think of the Sixties, I picture hippies and tie dye. But seeing this fabric definitely changes my mind!!

I LOVE these fabrics! Awesome.

Does British Mod excite me? So much so that the very words make my heart flutter! Yes, yes, yes!
These are gorgeous. What a wonderful accomplishment. I'm crazy about the owls in trees and the vehicles fabric, my son would explode if he saw that! I feel like Freedom Loving offers so many fun possibilities so I'd have to go with that.
kaylah said…
OH MY GOSH! I absolutely adore the fabric!

British Mod! British Mod! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
kelly said…
These are lovely! I love the tree stripes and I think the pebble patterns would be fantastic mixed in with the bright whites.

When I think 60s, I think early 60s style - with lines out of Mad Men or skinny pants like an Audrey Hepburn movie. (okay, so it's a bit late 50s too). I like that moment when suburbia began to cut loose a bit, let their hair down and go beatnik. It's a little more polished than the love fests, long hair and trippy flower power (though they are fun in their own way). Excited to see what you come up with next!
Jennifer Ladd said…
Wow! I LOVE the new line! The colors, the designs, the simple yet funky patterns ... great job!

When I think if the 60's, I think bright colors, greens and oranges and yellows, and liquid-y shapes (free-flowing and not geometric).

I do love British Mod ... that sounds intriguing.

I think I might like Freedom loving vibe if earthy colors but maybe the British Mod!
Thank you!

Love this collection - very excellent! I can think of tons of fun things to make with this line! Great debut!

When I think of the 60s, I think of psychedelic colors swirling together, rainbows, peace signs swinging around the necks of long-haired men and women, large crowds swaying together, guitars, campfires and VW vans. (I always knew I was born in the wrong decade). Can't wait to see it!
Christina said…
I love those fabrics! :)

As for the Q-
I would go with British Mod too, although I am not sure what that entails totally, but it sounds cool. :P

Are you kidding me with how cute this fabric is!!! I'm in LOVE!!!

British mod would be my choice, but you always pick out the best fabric and that is why I like buying from you:)
Unknown said…
Those fabric are great. I like the trees and that 50 modern feel to them. On to your question I like the long hair hippie style more because of the bright colors. But I have to Admit that in the 60 I dressed between the both of them.
Tee said…
Wow, congratulations! Great colors and designs, I love the tree stripes.

British Mod sounds smashing.

Did you read my mind when you designed Circa 50?!?! WOWZA! It is awesome and I want, want, want!! I love all the prints and they all want to come and live with me!

I am polar opposites with the 60s. I love the British Mod look (very exciting), but also love the soft Flower Child look as well: daisys, soft flowing clothing, hand embroidered shirts, acoustic guitars, sandals, and the like. Not too fussed on the psychedelic looks of the 60s.

Congratulations on your line! It is utterly fabulous. I must have it. :)
Kris said…
I love the new line!!

When I think of the 60's I think of a time of contrasts. There are the peace-loving hippies and flower children, but also agressive war protests and civil rights movements. So I really think of it as both a time with rough edges and uglyness and also a youthful idealism. Maybe this isn't the answer you were looking for, but it's what I think of
I think of women with tiny waists wearing aprons in fantastic full blue skirts. Home maker type vibes on a red background with orange mod rectangles and organic lines swirling about. Also charcoal bbqs and oven mits with those giant wooden forks and spoons that you see in older kitchens on the wall. ^_^

For the 60s, British Mod would be great. I also think of the space age when I think of the 60s; space themes would be fun!

Oh, these are beautiful! I can't believe I have to wait until January to buy them--I'm in love with the woodland and the car prints.

In answer to your question, I think of little British sports cars: Triumph, MG, Mini with their bold colors and racing stripes. I love the structure of the shapes, the bold color contrast, and the freedom and adventure of putting the top down and taking off!
Ellen said…
Very exciting, I love the mid mod vibe, and the woodland creatures together.

I personally would go for the British Mod myself, but to me they both scream 60's.

When I think of the 60's I often "see" a black & white photograph of a little boy in a cowboy costume, beaming at the camera. Love the fabric. Especially the rocket ships and the "tree stripes" with birdies.

I think British mod would be nice, or possibly some play on barkcloth patterns from the period.

If I don't win, I will definitely buy them :) That car and space fabric is just gorgeous!
The 60's... well, I wasn't around back then, but all that flower power stuff has been there alot and it simply everywhere (which gets a bit annoying and boring), so I guess I would like to have a bit of a change and see what you can come up with for british mod.
Pam said…
Sorry, I messed up on the last post.
Your fabric is awesome. I love them all, especially the cars and chairs and everything else.
I definitely think of free lovin', peace and hippies when I think of the sixties, but British mod would be something new for us.

I know. Weird combination. :)

Congratulations on your fabric. I love every print of it. My favorite are the chairs.

I really love that woodland fabric. When I think of the sixties I first think of the psychedelic colors. I think British Mod sounds really awesome and would love to see another color scheme associated with that era.

Love that 50's line! Especially the chairs.

For the 60's I think the whole hippie thing is a bit overdone. I think more the of British mod thing, chunky eyeglasses, GTs, polka dots. I can't wait to see what you come up with and crossing my fingers that I get the special shipment!
Sarah Pead said…
These are A-MAZING! When I think of the 60s, I think of The Beatles which I guess means I think more of the British Mod thing...very streamline and funky. Hope I win! :)

British mod...Austin Powers (I know, I'm totally not really in the right ere but that has been the most substantial 60's era dose I have ever received - does that say too much about my age), Twiggy, bubbles, big, the Jetsons, simple, and bold!
I love your designs BTW!

First, let me just give you a HUGE round of applause. And then one more for good measure. Organic cotton prints are SO HARD to find. Trust me, I've looked ev.ry.where. And when you DO find them, they can be insanely expensive. ugh.

What do I think of when I think of the 60s? Probably inspired by Austin Powers since I wasn't born in the 60s, but I think of flowers, bright colors, short skirts, tall boot, flipped hair, did I mention bright colors?

This fabric made me smile :-) It put some zing into my day - how can you beat that?! Like any art, fabric should bring forth emotions, and I'm still grinning, ear to ear.

I am already thinking about making the pebbles into a super-cute 60's shift dress. British Mod - just that name would draw me to it, for sure.

This line is so lovely.

For a 60's vibe, I love your California kinda idea. I think surfers and waves, convertibles with girls in headscarves flapping in the breeze and big sunglasses (white ones? cat eye ones? a sunglasses print would be fab!), those big Twiggy kinda eyes with the thick eyeliner and lashes, mini skirts and mod style...kinda easy and free. I could go on, this is so much fun.

oh my goodness I love the clean lines and fun colors of this fabric! LOVE it! can't wait!!!

60's..well, i was born in '79. i will say i am over peace signs. feels kind of cliche and kitschy, i do love what i've seen of british mod. VW buses are as cool as ever, the music, and your desc of the freedom loving vibe was pretty cool.

Wow! That is some super awesome fabric! I think the cars would make an excellent lunch bag for my husband and the woodland prints would be super fun floor pillows

British mod appeals to me way more than hippie dippie, flower power. Love your new designs!!

They are all so cool. Good choices all of them. The 60's to me make me think of sufin, beaches and flower power. Quite the combo I know, but those are the things that come to mind. Have fun!!! Thanks for the chance!!!!

Love your fabrics..they take me way back to my childhood.

I would love to see the Peter Max psychedelic 60's theme. I was in junior high then and very into the prints and bright colors. My dad went on a business trip to London and brought me back a mini skirt from Barnaby Square - I was in heaven.

I love all the retro lines these days - so much fun.

Congrats on your line and here's to a great success with all you do.

What a wonderful giveaway! I was little in the sixties in SF but remember a time of lots of color, bandanas and long hair, loose flowing clothes, rainbows and paisley, and my bright yellow Sock It To Me lunchbox. Maybe that's more Freedom Loving Vibe?? Can't wait to see! Thanks!

Sixties Brit Mod all the way!

I love the 60's! hippie flowers, bell bottoms, VW cars, peace signs, etc. Not sure what British mod is, but i love anything British anyways :).

When I think of the '60s, I think of streamlined glitz. I love British Mod -- I think of Twiggy and bright tights and fabulous shoes. It's way more than just fun. It's a full life (and shag carpet).

Wonderful fabric! I like the sound of a retro California fabric theme.

British Mod was where I stopped. My mine just started taking off with ideas. Twiggy, mini skirts, floppy hats, boots, To Sir With Love, Fishnet, bright tights, FUN! Gorgeous british men and great music. No more poofy hair, Short or long. Freedom to more open and creative. Boy I went off the deep end. Bring on the British Mod please!!! Sally

OK I was there, for the 60's. What I think of - carnaby street/Mary Quant/Beatles/Twiggy. That is early 60's. Later a sort of Sargent Pepper vibe - collagey, Peter Max sort of stuff.

And yes the beach/surfing vibe goes well with the 60's too - Gidget, Beach Boys- California Dreaming.

Hope this helps!
Anita said…
I like the idea of the 60's beach vibe. But I'm very much a lover of fabric with flowers or dots - when I'm not making a quilt for someone else.

These are *fabulous*! I love the vehicles, and the pebble lines especially... If you go with Freedom Loving, how about some Black Power, hair styles from afro to braids to crew cuts to bouffants, peace symbols and nods to Civil Rights, Anti-War, Sexual Revolution, Feminism, and Back-to-the-Landers ("hippies")?? I was a child, but oh, what a time it was!
What a great giveaway! I think the British Mod would be a blast.

I really like your Woodland Friends fabric - very cute.

Thank you and congrats on the new line.
I love your new line , the colours are just right . As for the next one ? As an unrepentant Beach Boys fan , I say California and palm trees .

I'm also a fan of your new line--architectural elevations with the same clean lines carried through to whimsy, ending with organics that dare to use gray...

On the sixties: I'm a true Valley girl, having grown up in the San Fernando Valley in the sixties. Here are the images I remember: lots of cool adobe buildings, creamy with walls a foot thick, and long long porches and archways (some were my school buildings); dust, dust, everywhere, on the playground, in the street blowing up along the asphalt where there were no curbs, tamed only by a front yard of bushes here and there; in the housing tracts, lawns and sprinklers (Joni Mitchell's "The Hissing of Summer Lawns"); where there was not yet a subdivision, orange trees, bright orange, with dense dark green pointy leaves; oak trees, 500 years old, older than the missions even, with one in our back yard!; swimming pools to beat the heat, swimming wherever we went, always the perfect shade of chlorine blue; the beginning of strip malls, little stores lined up against each other with a patch of parking space; and four-lane freeways that went everywhere, sometimes you could go for miles without seeing other cars, or you could drive across the whole country on them (as we did several times), brand new gray swirls of off-ramps and four-layer interchanges.

Time to stop! Thanks for the great fabric.

Love your new fabric line. Can't wait to find it in a store. Since I graduated from high school in 1968. Some of the things I remember are, The Beach Boys, Surfing, Beatles, Twiggy, T-shirts, and Woodstock. I think the British Mod sounds like fun. Lots of ways to go with that one.

I LOVE your fabrics! I think of mod, bold, graphic style prints, and Twiggy. Also love the whole
Gidget California idea-wooden longboards and adorable one piece bathing suits!

These patterns are FAB. I grew up in the 60's. Please come and visit my blog and if you look at my website and designs you will see that I love everything about 60's style. It was all Thunderbirds and flower power and lets not forget the Coleoptre, Space, colour and innovation. Sorry I could go on forever. Love the chairs.

Being a HUGE fan of anything RETRO, I just love this line! The colors and motifs are terrific! When I think 60s, I think martini glasses, starbursts, kidney shaped tables, Frank Sinatra, anything cosmic and over the top. Thanks for the chance to win!

I love the new line! It is adorable. I can see a quilt or even some bags made out of it.

As far as 60's go, I love the "Gidget", campers idea. I also love the British Mod idea. Not too keen on the Freedom lovin' idea at all!

I am so into nature themed fabric right now and love your woodland birds and the colors of this line!

For your new 60's theme, I imagine a bunch of hippie girls with different hats, skirts on a moped bike. sunshine, stars, moon, zodiac symbols... since the zodiac was big back then. "Hey baby, what's your sign?"

Can't wait to see the new line!

Hi Fabric Worm,
I love the retro look of the 60's- the pop art so to speak- it captures the flower power free spiritedness that was part of that time- I was a child in the 60's but as a teenager I had bright purple pansies that were an enormous print...I look forward to seeing your new designs.
Someone will enjoy a wonderful giveaway prize from you.. It is indeed a special giveaway.
Warmest regards,

Anna
I definitely think the British mod is the thing for the 60's...A little Emma Peel and Steed from the Avengers...Austin Powers, etc...yeah...that would be great fun!!
Course, winning this great prize would be cool too!!

so for the 60's I do think more along the lines of gidget. not so much hippy stuff.
love the samples here, would be so fun to work with.

Love love the chairs and the trees! So exciting for you - My vote is for either British Mod - kinda Austin Powers but classier! and I do love Gidget too - huge surfboards, hawaiian prints, pigtails!
What a gorgeous range of fabric..congratulations !
Love the British Mod 60's idea...sometimes the hippy- peace 60's idea is hard to incorporate into finished items . I think the Mod 60's theme lends itself to greater variety of finished items with what I am sure would be another fabulous range of fabric designs !
P.S. I do love early to mid sixties mod. My favorite film with this style of fashion and music is "To Sir With Love." (Of course, I'm also a teacher, so I like it for other reasons as well.)

Love the new fabric! My absolute favourite is the tree stripes. I'll be watching for that in the new year! The Sixties make me think of old pictures of my parents with their funky glasses and my grandmothers old knitting patterns, especially the hats.

Congratulation on the new fabric line! Really lovely - and not like anything that has been on the market!

I love the the idea of "60s" fabric. Some peace loving flowers and maybe some cat wall clocks (you know the ones - with the tick tock tail and the rolling eyes). The 60 should leave you wide open for some exciting colour choices!

What great prints! I love them. I think the 60's california theam would be cool. It will be fun to see what you come up with.

First of all...I love these! I can't wait to be able to buy them. To answer your question, I love all of your ideas but I think the British Mod sounds new and different. I also love vintage teapots and other vintage kitchen items that could fit into the British Mod. Best of luck!

I love the tree stripes and woodland friends. They are both absolutely amazing, kinda cute, but still with style. Uhh, they are so much fun. I would so make pillows for my bedroom with both fabrics. Great designs!!

Since I am from California....I vote for the California 60's! Your fabric line is just amazing! I love it all!

Keep up the great work!
WOW!!! I love those prints....awesome colors too. The woodland creatures are just precious!

I like the British Mod as well.....although I don't really care for this seasons "Mad Men", I think something along those lines would be cool (more straight-lined furniture, advertising from that era, etc :) )

Thanks so much!
